Principal Goodrum and AD Sullivan were looking to provide their student athletes with stability. For various reasons they found themselves hiring a new basketball coach three years in a row. My focus was to provide this stability and grow from the foundation set by my predecessors. I love everything about SWAT and The D.M. Therrell High School. Our squad overcame a lot...and I mean A LOT of barriers. We grew up a bunch. I can't wait to see what the future has in store.

This is definitely on the list of "can't pass up" opportunities. Marietta is a city and school with a long standing tradition within Georgia basketball. I have the opportunity to work with my good friend Markus Hood and Nick Estes as we continually challenge each other both on and off the court. Together we are re-building the brand and culture that will allow our players to flourish in any environment.

Principal, Roger Couch and the late Danny Durham took a chance on hiring a young and enthusiastic coach to lead a Tiger team that needed help to find its way. Along with help from Asst. AD Steffanie Ramsey, I was able to come into my own while creating a lasting culture of the #CountyWay. Assited by James Williams, Tim Hudson, Rod Wilburn, and Harold Carter, the Tigers were able generate many first in its history and cement themselves as a competitive team in Georgia.

My first stop provided a firm foundation to build upon. Here I was able to learn from a local legend who has become a long time mentor for me in Terry White. The doggedness in his approach helped to mold me for my next stop. The friendships that were built here and the opportunity to learn through my own failures were integral in building my own approach.
